QVC Inc. started off the year with a healthy increase in web sales.
For the first quarter ended March 31, QVC, No. 11 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, recorded:
Total web sales increased 21.6% to $474.9 million from $390.6 million in the first quarter of 2009.
U.S. web sales increased year over year 21.7% to $369.9 million from $303.9 million.
International web sales increased 21.1% to $105.0 million from $86.7 million in the first quarter of 2009.
Total U.S. sales increased 9.5% year over year to $1.15 billion from $1.05 billion in the prior year.
Total sales, including international revenue, increased 10.7% to $1.76 billion from $1.59 billion in the first quarter of 2009.
Foreign sales increased year over year 11.3% to $601.0 million from $540.0 million in the first quarter of 2009.
