The manager of Gold Buyers at the Granite Run Mall has been charged with allegedly buying some jewelry he knew was stolen, and at times doing it under false customer names, according to court documents.

McCann was remanded to county prison after failing to post 10 percent of $25,000 bail, set at a preliminary arraignment May 3 before Magisterial District Judge Walter Strohl. His arrest stemmed from a separate investigation by Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Robert Kirby, of the PSP crime unit, involving a pawn list involving a Broomall woman facing charges of selling jewelry she stole while working at QVC.

According to the affidavit, Jennifer John sold $75,000 worth of jewelry at Gold Buyers, which operates a kiosk in the mall and buys precious metals from the public.
